Also I have heard if you heat the water before you make the batch the silver just falls off the rods.!
I have made it just before it starts to boil, then in one batch it turned very dark- I added plain distilled water and made a gallon out of 16 oz. Is that alright also?
When I boiled it last time it was in a thin steel pot- thats not good is it..
