i use "now" brand bromelain. i actually think the bromelain is more affective but it may work differently for different peole. the bromelain is inexpensive. also i have found that i like to take much more than the rec dosages. i will take 10 or more tabs per meal sometimes if i feel like it. of course large doses should be done with precaution as different people's bowels have different tolerances. the only bad thing that could happen is 'urgency'.
