Hi onlyskindeep,
>The areas of your skin that feel smooth - do they feel waxy? When I say waxy, think of a candle.

This is what I experience as well. It gets a little waxy when it is trying to heal. I guess this is normal for eczema, but I can't be sure of course...

>About the garlic, do you eat it straight up or mix it with anything??? The smell is what would hold me back.

I try to eat raw garlic with food. You can prepare delicious dips with plain yogurt + crushed raw garlic + a little olive oil + red pepper + salt. You can dip any vegetable in this, and it will be so tasty. I also put raw garlic to other foods whenever I can. Sometimes I just take bites from raw garlic cloves while I am eating my dinner. I do like raw garlic, so eating it has never been a problem for me. Yes I do smell afterwards:) So I eat some parsley as well after I'm done with dinner. I then rinse my mouth with baking soda+salt+warm water solution, and also brush thorughly. So the smell doesnt bother me (and other people) when I do these.

Eating raw onions is also great. So I try to eat them as well..

>About kefir, can you refresh my memory on what it is, what it does and where I can purchase it?

Kefir is a great probiotic drink. It tastes like sour plain yogurt.
You need milk, a glass jar, a plastic strainer, and some kefir grains. This is all you need. It is very easy to culture kefir grains. You put grains to glass jar, and then add milk. You cover it loosely with the lid, and then let it sit for 24 hours. After 24 hours, you strain the kefir grains, and the remaining liquid is kefir. Then you put the grains to a new glass jar, add milk, and wait 24 hours..

I currently live in US as well, and I got my kefir grains by mail from a guy living in a nearby city. http://www.torontoadvisors.com/Kefir/kefir-list.php this site lists people who can mail you grains. Choose somebody who is living closest to you. The guy who sent me the kefir grains only asked for the shipping cost, but of course I chose to pay him more than the shipping cost... I was so grateful that he agreed to send me some.

There is a great site about kefir: http://users.chariot.net.au/~dna/kefirpage.html It is the most detailed website devoted to kefir. I learned everything from here.

>Do you have an e-mail address where I could write you?
