you should do it scientifically, add only the amount necessary to keep unwanted growth at bay, and no more. i would be very interested to hear how it goes, please post and let me know if you have success.

have you considered adding salt to make a Sea Salt hot tub? i would love that, but i have no idea if Sea Salt is corrosive to pipes and filters.
