Like I said in an earlier post I have a SilverGen so I looked at the Puppy website and must say there is virtually zero info on how things work etc.

That said I am not in the market for a CS maker so I couldn't be bothered to go and find that info.

As for the screw cap, that's like complaining that one must screw their Peanut Butter jar closed after using it...

The mechanical stirrer works and can easily be lengthened to allow stirring of up to a gallon. That said, it is noisy and is mechanical so it will need replacement at some point but I have had mine for what must be more than a decade now and all still works.

I have also read some messages about yellow CS from the puppy and in all the time I used the SilverGen I have had one bad batch and that turned out to be the Distilled water which must have gone through fresh charcoal and was too conductive to begin with.

To sum this all up; if you can get the tech info on the Puppy and everyone agrees it makes consistent clear CS within a couple of hours then it appears to be a buy, but from reading messages here I am not yet convinced.
