Having owned both units I can tell you they both turn out great CS. The silverpuppy is a little easier to handle. Instead of screwing it onto the top of a jar ie silvergen, the silverpuppy just fits nicely with no screwing. I like the mag stir system on the silverpuppy. I have a mag stir set up on my 5 gallon system and it smooths out the taste of the water a little with a constant magnetic vortex gently stirring the water. The electrodes are easier to change out and clean on the silverpuppy as well. It's very close, but for me the nod goes to the silverpuppy.
