I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that there is a person in your life who is demanding, controlling and critical towards you in a "passive-agressive" way. And you probably don't see this person frequently, but after the latest time together, the anxiety came back... (most likely a parent - mother maybe?)
If the above gaze at the crystal ball was correct, the best thing is to stay away from those critical types who are a trigger for your anxiety. Or if it's not a person, it could very well be a situation or activity - like trying to find reasons for paranoia, the type you mention about too much self-gratification and so on (I've NEVER ever heard of anyone ever hurting himself with self-gratification and believe that most of that is just fear inducing attention grabber).
Also, vitamin B goes a long way towards making your emotions and nervous system more stable - I would rate it above everything else. Try it and you'll see a change within a few weeks. Next one would be anything that has filtered Omega 3 fatty acid...
