I definitely know the power of garlic, but.....my Eastern European Mother In Law used to eat fresh, raw garlic during the day. On warm days, people would literally flee from her. Others would give her a very wide berth on the bus. My son, when old enough to speak coherently, would run from her screaming..."Grandma Stinks".

She was a very healthy woman up until her stroke. Seriously, she ate garlic, made homemade yogurt, drank cayenne, drank her own pee (and used it as a facial astringent), amongst other things. It was her extreme sadness that I think finally did the big number to her. And boy, is she mean. The meanest woman I ever knew!
