It is true that not all abusers are sociopaths - this thread was begun with regard to a news video or something similar.

In my case, my former perpetrator is a narcissist bordering (precariously so) on sociopathy. He enjoyed inflicting fear and terror on anything that breathed: spouse; children; pets; etc.
