Under the "Right dose for prevention of UTIs..." thread I went into some detail about the UTI problems spinal injured persons face.

Another thing I was thinking of was in this respect was using a Colloidal Silver solution in a bladder instillation. This means putting it directly into the bladder with a catheter.

Silver nitrate has been used for years in bladder instillations for those suffering from interstitial cystitis. But it's really harsh to the lining of the bladder.

Neosporin works well for a bladder instillaton, but the bacteria quickly build resistance to it.

I wonder if Colloidal Silver could be used as a basis for a bladder instillation that bacteria don't become resistant to? And that isn't harsh to the bladder lining?

Anyone have any thoughts?
