It was not you who was "over the top", it was his choice as to how to react.

Compassion for someone does not mean it is your problem, nor does it require you to take on someone elses. You have obviously accomplished much and humor is so much a part of healing, although some may think it is better to wallow

I read his response this morning and only he will know why his reaction was such.
