the poor people eat unwashed pjroduce, this produce still has the beneficial soil based microorganisms on it. these are the organisms that generate B12. the upper classes thoroughly wash their food, thus killing off the soil based organisms and thus creating a B12 deficiency.

we are of the earth and were meant to fully partake of it.
