'Manila' is correct... : )

I thought about documenting everything as you had mentioned, and can easily do so. As a matter of fact, I *have* documented plenty of things. I have a nice, tidy Word document that I had constructed via statements about domestic abuse (You may be in an emotionally abusive/physical/sexually abusive relationship if...). I recently took it out to read it to refresh my memory, and if i recall correctly, i had also given a copy of this document to the assistant DA last year. I was considering going over everything with a fine-tooth comb as far as dates of certain occurrences, but not sure how necessary that is. I have not seen my attacker in over a year (since November of 05), but I do want to be prepared in court.

I was advised that I should only answer questions with 'yes', 'no', 'not to the best of my knowledge', etc. This case is not me against him, it is The State of New York' against him. The DA never said anything to me about needing a lawyer; she said all i have to bring is myself because they have all the evidence that I had given them in photos and doctor's reports. i do wonder if i should bring physical evidence of violence, though, such as items of mine he destroyed. He really does need to have the book thrown at him. he's gotten away with too much for too long. he's violent, a thief, manipulative... he's a menace to society, really.
