hello

i've been massaging the soles of mom's feet with my knuckles for a few months, ((mom has shingles and is/was very sick - getting better thank god, albeitslowly -- i'm her chief caregiver)) and the other day, noticed that the knuckles on my left hand got a bit swollen and rather painful.... there hasn't been much change int he condition in the last few days, and was wondering if there was something i could do...?

i've done some hydrotherapy (cold water 60 seconds, hotwater with cayenne 60 seconds alternating) and put some anti-inflammatory ointment on it.... any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.... should i jsut wait? how long will it take until the inflammation dies down? thank you!!
