you said it,...you had unprotected sex.
the virus penetrated the skin on your penis and made a home there,..thats why you have a bump,....as your body try's to recognize what it is and fight it off,..some of the virus will be killed,...and the remainder will run and hide at the base of your neck,..(if she has hsv1)

the next time you have an outbreak it will most likely be above the waist,..most likely on your lip line or inside your mouth....

hsv1-usually above the waist hsv2-below the waist
but both can be anywhere in the body at anytime.....
once it enters your bloodstream its like a major highway junction...
