Thanks so much for your your interesting perspective. I really do believe that we can actually give ourselves permission to get a disease for subconscious reasons. At the time I got my yeast infection, I was having deep concerns about the commitment level in my relationship with my boyfriend. I really do wonder sometimes if I gave myself permission to get my yeast infection to create a physical distance from him until we could work through some commitment issues we were having. I've even discussed this with a friend of mine before. He and I are still together, so maybe to get over this finally, I'm just going to have to face my inner conflicts about our commitment issues head on.
