maya - thank you so much for the info! i am getting through your blog pages as i have time and ive found them absolutely great!

my dogs' teeth are pretty ok, as far as i can tell, but they STINK. i realise now its cause ive been feeding them commercial food which is all wrong. i thought dogs just naturally had a lot of bad doggie smells along with the territory but now i see why!

do you recommend weaning off commercial food and slow transition or just come off straight away?

also, im predicting that changing over the food is gonna stop both my dogs' terrible bad habit of... eating poo. i could never figure out before how they could have a malnutrition when we fed them 'exactly what they were meant to be fed' (according to vet/commercial wisdom) so now i know, i am so very grateful!

i would like to try supplementing with kelp and acv. my local health shop does not have best quality though - should i source best quality supplements elsewhere or start off on what is available?

also, apart from the foods poisonous to dogs, can i give any fruits and veg? is it trial and error to find out what is beneficial to my dog as opposed to things that might cause upset tummies (or should i expect this anyway as the changeover affects their systems?)

please let me know if this info is covered in your blog, will be reading it as and when i get a chance so dont feel you have to repeat yourself in answering my ques.
