It's nice you got the frank honesty and opinion of your doctor. That remains to be seen here in the US. Not to mention the pharmaceutical and drug companies make a banner business out of dishing out and prescribing various potions, lotions, and temporary this-should-stop-your-pain pills. After struggling with various dermatologists for so long, I am giving it a go via the natural route. You mentioned cleansers? The only things I currently do take are Barley Green. I mix a glass of this daily with some flaxseed oil. It does just the trick in helping with immediate elimination. Sometimes I also take Fiberblend which provokes elimination also. I haven't done any of the really detailed types of cleansers but I am open to trying them. I am just cautious b/c I don't want to aggravate or surprise my body with something it may find unfamiliar. Some of the prices of the cleansers are ridiculous. You mentioned stress, if only that was something that could be avoided. Easier said then done, regardless of the situtation at hand. Good luck in school. I'm sure you will do and well and all the extra stress you have will pay off:)

Here are some other questions I had for you:

I feel a slight itchiness or tingly feeling right after coming out of the shower before moisturizing. Do you experience this too? Does your skin feel really warm when you moisturize or touch it? Do you tend to break out elsewhere even when you don't scratch? This happens also. Does your skin hurt in any particular area where you have a patch? Do you do any type exercise? I used to quite a bit but have slowed down - I guess for fear of this spreading b/c of excess sweat and all. Aside from that, I just moisturize several times throughout the day. Sometimes when the sun literally goes down, I experience severe dryness in the creases behind my legs. Otherwise, I'm ok. As we speak, I can see slight traces of my skin peaking through from the areas that were hardened and covered for so long. I'm grateful my itching has subsided which can't be said for most that suffer from this too. I keep my showers regulated to lukewarm to semi-cool water and under 10 minutes. Get in touch when you can.
