I know how you feel. I am a newby also. They should have a special page for newbies!
Anyway, I have learned that everyone is different and does different things. I did my first flush a week a ago and it was horrible but people here on curezone have made suggestions for next time. If that one doesn't work, I'll ask for more suggestions.
I am not sure about your other question so hopefully an old flusher can help you.
