Hi,

Recently a friend (here on Curezone) asked me if website owners are paid for allowing companies to lurk, for lack of a better word, on their websites? Also, when you surf a company's website, does that company (for example, Amazon) immediately know I have been there? I mean, is there a list that daily says that John Smith from Denver, Colorado visited your site at 11:42 a.m.......

Trivial questions, but just wondering.
