Just a thought, but you say your skin is drier "the day after"? Maybe your skin is producing less oil then, so the Acne starts to dry up?

While it may help in the short term, alcohol is very damaging to the liver, and the liver plays a big role in acne. I'd suggest you stop drinking and cleanse your liver with herbs like milk thistle.
