You are wrong about lung cancer. The studies that track incidence over time all disagree with your assertion that lung cancer is increasing even though smoking is increasing.

And while it is important to know the family history to get an understating of genetic predispositions, this is not all that efficient. According to the current literature there are about 300 cancer genes, but only 20% show germline mutations in cancer, 90% show somatic mutations and 10% include both. And chromosomal translocations being the most common of germline and somatic mutations. So unless it is something obvious like BRCA1, BRCA2, retinoblastoma, the chances are that if you get cancer it was not due to heredity but to a somatic mutation brought about by ......?
I would also bet that all your long lived relatives had amalgam in their mouth and drank fluoridated water, so maybe you should put back that amalgam and start drinking your municipal water. Of course, I am being facetious, but your conclusion about amalgams is a classic case of a post hoc error.
