the instant switching back and forth from catastrophe to ecstacy is a classic trait of narcissists.

these people are created. and they are enabled. a functioning narcissist, however, is able to be quite successful in the business world, using that as their positive reinforcement, and then use the family mambers that CANNOT escape them for the negative reinforcement. they are constantly abused and taken for granted by family and then walk on water at work. it is a nightmare, especially for children.
