Two points come immediately to mind: One, if it's mucus, you obviously don't need it -- so "good riddance." Two, how much sunlight do you get each day, and can you walk barefoot for a while every day, as described in this link? You are obviously on the right path, and I hope you will both continue along that way and answer my two questions; many others could read your answers and maybe be helped, as well.
