The magnesium content of almost all commercial greens has greatly diminished over the years, even more so than calcium which has diminished as much as 80% even in organic produce in just the last 40 years...

In some circles, magnesium is considered to be more important than calcium due to the need of magnesium for calcium absorption. It is not a simple as that, please understand that the whole is a complex balance.
