Humm.. I never did understand why some people think we are here to forget everything we learn as beings in the body. If that is the case, why did we bother to come into bodies to begin with?? We were just mindless spirit blobs (as you describe) out there before we started incarnating, so what would be the point of going thru all this learning just to forget it all and return to that state???? BUT if you try to make yourself that naive and simple, you for sure would be awfully easy to manipulate by those who are encouraging you to become so mindless, eh?
Sorry but I believe that what Jesus meant was that we should cast off our 'social programming' and be who we really are i.e. like children (who haven't been beat into submission by the bonds of a power based hierarchy yet).
And actually if you ask very young children about things like past lives, often they will tell you about their previous life. Unfortunately too many times, parents accuse them of making things up, and the child starts suppressing the information to avoid being shamed, and pretty soon, just like all the rest of us, they have forgotten.
And after doing about 20 years of personal growth work, I began to realize there was more to me than simply this life as I started remembering more and more of the past lives I have lived. So, I know that the information is still there, available, if you know how and want to retrieve it.

And I am back again because I wanted to be alive in this time. It is a very exciting one and there is sooo much information available now that hasn't been available since atlantis, if even then.
