In only a few minutes of web search I found out that Mantak Chia is a christian, who lives in New York, runs a wellness spa in Thailand, and has been criticized for plagiarizing some other author.

Oh, and he seems to claim that one can achieve physical immortality. Something I'll only believe when I see it; and I haven't even seen a claim that someone has achieved that.

I am sorry to sound like a typical sceptic, but this does sound very much like a "new age newcomer-businessman".

I'd love to be proven wrong though!
