The roots of alfalfa go down *twenty* feet or more--or so I remember reading on a Canadian product that was pure powdered alfalfa--forget the name--it can then contact a far greater level of nourishment, mineral-wise etc. And it's such a good soil-builder, likewise--has good *karmic soul* if you will...Cows love it too!  :-) I've always had a really strong sense of alfalfa being *good* . I'd forgotten all about it, overshadowed by the kelp...but that reminds me, it has the energy of 'earth'--good balance to the kelp-- and I'd like some for christmas!

BTW Maya, I bought us a F-I sauna! That's a big purchase for me. Part of the 'new life' that's almost begun. It's really mild and lovely here in Canada (Toronto). Like spring
