I didn't quite understand you're answer. I am more than a little concerned that a dentist, who has told me my mouth is just full of periodontal disease, starts work on a tooth for a crown without making sure it is clean. If there is periodontal disease on that tooth then now it is on that tooth underneath a temporary crown and when the permanent crown comes in it will be a tooth with periodontal disease under a permanent crown. As I said before, I always believed that a dentist wanted to make sure it was all clean and shiny before starting anything major or minor. This is very upsetting and bewildering to me to think that a dentist would purposely put a patient at risk like that. Am I over-reacting on this matter?
