Thanks for your imput. Got onto your website and was very impressed. Seriously thinking of contacting you for an appointment. I also have another concern. The dentist started work on another crown immediately (not the one with the absessed tooth but the one below it, and yes, it is a Captek) without setting me up for a teeth cleaning first. Is this standard procedure? I was always under the impression that the teeth cleaning happened before anything else, major or minor. Also, I was told that I would have to pay $95 for a consult with the hygienist on HOW she was going to clean my teeth! Isn't that one of the reasons for taking x-rays? The hygienist looks at the x-rays and decides on a regular cleaning or a deep cleaning. I have never had to pay a consultation fee for a consult with a hygienist. The whole thing just seemed a little too rushed and I truly wish I would have just gotten up and walked out.
Again, thanks for the input and any more you may wish to add. I have decided that I am not getting any other work done by this dentist. Let them finish the work they started on the lower tooth crown and then walk away.
