The important point I hope to emphasize is that bowel cleansing in the form of colonics and enemas shouldn't be done in an emotional or threating environment, and that is why it is usually best to allow a professional health care specialist to deal with it, especially in the early stages.

Again, please do not punish the child in any manner, especially physical, for something that she may not be able to control at this point.
