This is timely seeing how I sliced the end of my finger off earlier today with a slicer when cutting onions without the safety holder. It bled profusely so packed on cayenne as I know it stops bleeding but blood kept pushing off cayenne until I applied a wet cloth and pressure, but I will re-bandage with cayenne to see if it heals better.
I did put comfrey ointment as comfrey is one of the very few cell proliferants and regrows new cells as does Dr. Christoper's B, F, and C formula. It was this formula that regrew fingers cut off at the 2nd knuckle in two stories related in Christopher's biography in his book "school of Natural Healing." It was on Dr. John R. Christopher's films (7 hours) that initially came with the save your life tapes (Sam Biser and Dr. Richard Shultze) where I first heard of cayenne's ability to heal wounds and stop bleeding (Christopher was originator of Dr. Schulze 's incurable program which Schulze improved and a teacher of Richard Schulze ).
Christopher relays the story of a woman who had attended his seminars and heard what he said about cayenne. Shortly thereafter, her neighbor's child was accidentally shot by another child. They were 50 miles from help and an ambulance. She gave the child lots of cayenne (I forget if she put any in the wound but the child was bleeding profusely). By the time the ambulance got there and took child to the hospital to explore surgically, they were shocked to find very little blood in the wound..far less, then one would expect..and it seemed much better than they would have expected.
I believe he goes on to relay that the bullet nicked or hit or severed the child's spine and mother was told he would never walk again but the mother snuck a bunch of herbs and natural treatments into the hospital suggested by the neighbor and the child totally recovered. It was here Christopher talked of cayenne's ability to stop bleeding and I think even recommended it for hemorrhaging..but it was many years ago that I saw the film and I may be wrong on that point, but I do remember he said it would not sting if in a cut wound. It did sting very slightly but this may have been from nearby tissues as I shook a bunch of it on trying to stop the profuse bleeding. I do think it stopped bleeding sooner than one would expect.
