thanks for your thoughts, Optimum (good name). I feel more and more that it's sun that is the way to go.   :-)
Now I wonder though --do tanning beds help  the body 'make' D? I know lightboxes work well for many in sunless winters...but is that "actual" D? or is it equivelent somehow?

I will look it up though --not asking you to---unless you know?
