I have not been on Curezone in a while, but I just read all of the replies.
First of all, I think it is spelled Elimite and I had spelled it wrong originally (on my container it just says "Permethrin 5%". Second, I use it once a week and it has been a month now that my lips have not peeled. I am feeling my lips now and they feel incredibly smooth.
Under the drug information it says that one use is generally curative, but that is only true with treating scabies which this medication is also meant to be used on. Since everybody has demodex on their skin and it is very easy to get infested again, so the I will probably be using permethrin for quite a while.
My skin problems also started with dry lips, then moved on to perioral dermatitis then just Acne like skin problems on my whole face, I had Acne my freshman year of high school and it came on after playing football and wearing a sweaty hot helmet, but it seemed to go away for a few years after that. So this time around I really did not think it was just acne. This time my whole face itched and burned along with having multiple pustules and scaling.
Last Saturday after seeing my dermatologist he commented on how much my skin had improved and how he will have to keep the treatment of demodex in mind in his future patients. He also gave me some Ivermectin pills to take to kill off any remaining demodex.
So for now I am using the Permethrin Cream once a week for the foreseeable future, and I am taking 6mg of Ivermectin a week for the next 3 weeks.
I am not sure if everyone here has the same problems as me, but if it helps you then that is good.
