Hi there. I know these fellas are trying to help you but I don't think they understand. I know that because I do understand and I think maybe everyone doesn't have the binging problem the way we do because they respond with the "emotional hunger" answers. This is both disconcerting and hopeful for me: it means I have a problem but it also means that it may be possible not to be plagued by craving food and binges. Now, you may want to look into that emotional eating stuff and see if it applies to you...
...BUT for me that wasn't the answer. There's a little bit of that but by in large that's not it. If I eat certain foods, it triggers me and I have a hard time controlling myself. If I'm not around those foods or if I eat a certain way or eat very light...some days I have no urge. It's wierd. Then I read something on this forum about food allergies and it was the first time it seemed someone accurately described what I go through. A banana is supposed to be a healthy food yet when I eat it and I'm only wanting a little snack, suddenly I want to EAT even if I know I'm not hungry. Odd...but if I had a pear, no such response. Here is the link about food allergies :

I think moreless may have something with his reply which ties into the whole food allergy thing. There are cetain things I have been doing recently to counter this problem. I binge in the afternoon at work so right after lunch I take Miracle Greens which is supposed to be extremely alkalinizing with tons of minerals. Those afternoons it is much easier and sometimes I don't even snack. Good luck, and feel free to respond. I know what you're going through! I'm just now making some progress (I think) so keeping fingers crossed...!!!
