well, you could certainly try the cayenne oil and see how that feels. it should help, might get a bit hot tho!

if i remember correctly, my nasal passages drained into my sinus cavities which in turn drained into my mouth when i was dealing with what you are dealing with. but i think each situation is unique, so that might not be true for you. i think keeping the nasal passages nice and sterile during this time would be a good idea, regardless of where they drain into.
