I have the same problem - red patch side of nose. I also have it between eyebrows and on scalp. I have been using olive oil as a moisturiser....yikes!!! I didn't realise the oleic acid connection until reading this thread, so a massive thanks.

I cleaned up my diet, have cut out wheat, gluten, dairy, processed foods, Sugar etc and still the patches remained. I have recently started using ACV (internally & externally) and am now having skin issues (think may be part detox reaction & part constipation issue).

Any suggestions on a natural alternative to olive oil as a face moisturiser?
