Well, there's the rub. It is TODAY. It is not yesterday, or 30 years ago. We have changed and evolved as the idea of "family". There is not Leave It to Beaver or Father Knows Best. So we have to evolve and change our perception of what family and motherhood means. You can't backtrack. You have to work with what society gives you.

And this fellow that wrote this crap is living in a different time. And women are out there being productive and making their mark in corporate america. Is this optimum? Who knows? But it is what is happening NOW.

So I refuse to belong to this pity party, and puritanical bullcrap. I have a very happy and loving family, thank you. And yes, I am a mother and a corporate employee. And my child is very happy and well adjusted, and I might say, more able to take care of himself than those boys who have Mommy at home doing everything for him.

As a matter or fact. I have married and dated many Men who can't do a damn thing for themselves, because they did have Mommy home doing everything. They are pathetic creatures, that make terrible husbands.

And this author really has a very dim view of women's roles. Come on...this is just one more piece of misogynist crap we're getting from some Momma's boy....or some guy who totally missed Mommy and didn't get over it. There was definitely issues reeking throughout that whole poorly written article.

Get in reality. This is modern society. The whole concept of family has changed. And there are as many happy different families out there as there are sad families...just like 40 years ago.
