Treat each other as though you are invited guests. Politeness is a great way to get to know people.

There is a period of time while you are getting comfortable in each other's company.

Pick up after yourself. Be clean and tidy. Be quiet sometimes. Find a few friends and interests in the community. Tidy up your language.

Try to understand what the other needs. Not 'get inside his head', just use reasonable consideration. See if you can figure out what he means, what he would like, without asking.

Most questions will settle out, in time. Let them.
