I will try to convince my husband to try to keep up with the colon cleansing; he started doing some of that before the surgeries.

Are there any specific excercises you would reccommend? My husband is unlikely to get physical therepy for a while (we live on a military base in Japan and the little hospital on our base is not very good - they had to fly him elsewhere for the surgeries). Other than going for a walk every day, my husband really doesn't get much excercise. He has shooting pains down his right leg every time he steps on it, so he walks very slowly and with a limp.
