In William Dufty's book "Sugar Blues", which helped me a lot and I highly recommend, he uses blackstrap mollasses as a healthy substitute and it is! He makes a recipe with brown rice peanut butter and BSM then puts them in the freezer to solidify them, so he can carry them with him in his day to day travels! I have always meant to try these myself ! But yes blackstrap mollasses is very healthy and I use it as a Sugar substitute in my coffee or tea ,its great stuff and cures the craving at the same time!
