I found this site today ... I have been experiencing severe leg/joint pains. The Dr checked for Rheumatoid Arthritis - negative, checked me for peripheral artery disease - negative .. ceased taking my cholesterol meds - no change, diagnosed as having restless leg syndrome - no symptoms... no improvement after medication.

I gained 27 pounds after maintaining my weight for a year... Only 43 and feeling like I am 83. After I read some of the messages here, I made an appointment and had my Mirena IUD removed today!

I haven't experienced depression, but at my wits end as to the cause of the joint/muscle pain in my legs. I can only hope for improvement after having the IUD removed .. it can't get any worse at any rate.
