I am terribly sorry about your situation. I do believe that the Mirena could be the source. She might have had some Depression issues that were deep rooted aside from the mirena, which when placed brought things to the surface as she was now this homonal mess of emotions! This could definitely warp your thinking. Was she emotionally stable before mirena? I ask this because, the one thing all of us here that post have in common, is that we realized that all of this was going on and that the Mirena "might" have been the root to our problems. We then took action and got it removed. Maybe her condition has gone to a different level and she's lost touch of reality, I could see potential for that happening. I know mine was, I've had it out for 2 weeks now, and my husband and I haven't fought once, and thats how it used to be. I was so oversensitive when I had it, I really thought my husband was evil, and I would go to bed crying a lot. Right before I got out the Mirena, we had scheduled an appointment with a marriage counselor.

My suggestion to you would be to try to get her to read some of the posts on this website. Even print some out and leave them somewhere she might read them. If she reads some of our stories, things might click and she might have a change of heart. There is comfort in knowing that you are not alone. It might get her out of this hopeless state? It might not....who knows. I would also suggest to her to take out the Mirena on a trial basis for 2-3 months, to see if her attitude mental state changes. Assure her that if she wants it back in after 3 months she can have it. I don't know what else to tell you. Hope this helps.
