hey brandy,

well, it's been a year since you posted that, so i'm wondering how you're doing now —do you still have them?

i've had chronic hives for about a year seemingly due to stress. i've been to all the doctors and specialists with no enlightenment. my condition was very severe from the beginning of november '02 through february '03 —quite disfiguring, scary, and depressing as i'm sure you can imagine.

clearly, they came on while i was undergoing a very stressful period of my life of which i was suppressing. now it seems that the only time that they get really bad is when i'm worrying about having them and how disfiguring that is, otherwise they are still there just not as pronounced.

i have been continuously treating the stress in my life and i'm better since that severe period but flabbergasted that they are still with me. clearly, the frustration they bring only antagonizes them. so, calmness and serenity has been the only viable antidote that i have found. although, i do take claritin every day as it is the only med that i have taken that doesn't make me feel drugged up, and i'm going to change my diet to eliminate dairy, wheat, and soy to see if that helps, and perhaps incorporate some herbs that are said to help.

i don't know if you'll get this message [it's been a year since you posted] but if you do, i would like to know if you still have them. also, i would appreciate insight and/or support from anyone reading this.
