On the frequency travel question, if my memory from tech school days serves me correctly, higher frequencies tend to travel farther through the medium of air IE> atmosphere but there are all kinds of ifs / buts and other exceptions and quirky influences to this phenom. An example is AM radio carrier frequencies. By day, the standard in America for AM broadcast accepts that reach of transmission generally occurs most reliably within a relative few miles depending on other variables, such as output power of the transmitter - larger corp media outlets of course are generally licensed by the FCC to use more output power compared to the ever dwindling and near extinct momNpop radio stations. Lets say you regularly tune into a station that uses the call letters and numbers of WFRQ 1370 AM. For this example, lets also assume that the transmission reach of this station is only by virtue of what the station antenna/trasmitter is capable of on it's own design. In other words, there are no high falutin mass-market-style transmission repeating methods in use, no satellite uplinks, none of that fancy radio marketing stuff goign on, just a simple radio station transmitting however far it's engineers are licensed to transmit. There is a real life AM station in my home neighborhood that uses 1320 AM as it's carrier, this station originated as a momNpop variety and for the most part has remained of this grade to this day. Using either a pocket radio, or expensive car radio or expensive home-stereo setup, this station generally has a broadcast reach around 30 to 35 miles in diameter, give or take some of the variables like hills, canyons and such to be found within this diameter. The Carrier Frequency this hypothetical station uses is 1320 KHz. Some people might asks "carrier frequency?....what is the frequency carrying?". When it comes to such methods of broadcast, these carrier frequencies are generally known to carry other frequencies such as lower frequencies that humans can hear and have labeled Audio Frequencies..... sounds of voices talking, singing, sounds of musical instruments playing.... that kind of stuff. There has long been known a broadcast-radio phenom of "skip". At night after the sun has gone down there are changes that occur in the atmposphere that make it easier for the air or atmospher to propagate signals over farther distances. Best examples would be a typically cheap $5 A.M. pocket radio that, at night time, can pull in radio broadasts from 100s to 1000s of miles away. There are various influences that can make this phenom more noticeble of not. One of the best examples I ever experienced happened while visiting the ocean just off the coast of Ocracoke Island near the Carolines - was able to pull in a baseball game being transmitted from well over a thouasand miles away via an el-cheapo pocket radio.

Tesla is said to have conducted various experiments that utilized the earth as both a supplementing source as well as medium for the transmission of various frequency signals. Wireless transmission of power was one such he is alleged to have performed. Strange, here we are all these years later and the average person is lead to believe such transmission of power is still among those feats that mankind is still striving to conquer ;)

FWIW, your posts suggest you may be the type to be interested in reading about some other people who long ago dealt in phenoms earth and elctrical not unlike the topics of discussion in this series of posts. Check out the history and works of a fellow named Nathan Stubblefield. He used natural earth energy to power and propagate all kinds of experimental signals he played with, what some after the fact have referred to as early generation wirless transmission. There are lots of good sources to be found on the web, strangley enough the one dot come site baring his name is not one of them, it only seems interested in selling a book. I used Scroogle to search, here is just one decent lookign site.

As the issues specifically concern farming, you may also want to look into the works  of people like Slim Spurling. He too has his own web site that sells a lot of products, but you should also be able to avoid that sales info and concentrate on his work and theory with using energy, particularly natural earth energies, as a means for improving and balancing ambient atmosphere for the purpose of farming. He has a specific product  Encvioronmental Harmonizer that he makes in a model specifically for agriculturual benefits.
