I had a goiter for 9 years, didn't want surgery because it made no sense to eliminate the messenger. Many endocrinologists had no clue and didn't think to explore the cause of the goiter. I always had normal blood tests. Finally I found a naturopath (after seeing 2 others who didn't help) who recommended iosol, Iodine in glycerin, which can be absorbed easily when put into water. The goiter disappeared! I take 5 drops of iosol twice a day in water, morning and night (total of 10). When I stopped taking the Iodine I noticed a difference in the way I felt. I also take armour thyroid, 15mg a day, but am wondering if I really need the pill this since I began taking it before the Iodine and there was no change in the goiter until I used iodine.

I have been without a goiter for over two years. I tried other alternative ways--homeopathy, herbs, acupuncture. The acupuncture was good for me and helped me see the goiter size changed sometimes, but didn't make the goiter disappear.

I wish you luck. My naturopath made my dreams of a disappearing goiter come true. I'm glad I waited (no surgery) and found someone who could help me.
