No need to steam
Heres the trick, a waiter friend of mine -years back(at the Charthouse ) showed me this
take a ripe (squeeze slightly if the avo 'gives" to the touch then its ripe, do not be discourages this takes practice) If is is soft it has gone too far but try it anyway-why not

slice avo in half, pop out the seed with you thumb
(slide thumb print side down along the avo and under the seed- it will pop out)
*if overripe- cut out black spots
then make 1/4 inch length wise slices being careful not to cut the rind or skin
again puch thub between the skin and the slices length wise and the slices pop out
mash in bowl with a tsp full of greek yoghurt
and you have a spread
adjust the greek yoghurt according to preferance

I have ekziekel toast with slices of avo mashed right on the toast
yum

I eat 3-4 avo's a day

and they are a great fruit
