Your God threatens? I sure don't want to know him, my God doesn't punish. We will someday recieve a just reward or penalty, ultimately, but not on earth,...because if He did that now, we ALL have alot to answer for). In Isaiah 29:13, God is talking about those who worship Him with their lips, but their heart is far from Him, God says "...their fear of me is a commandment of MEN..." and "...perfect love casts out fear, for fear has to do with punishment..." 1 John 4:18. God is LOVE.

Sensational news of any kind is what "yellow journalists" used to stay in business. Learn about the tactics of proganda and misinformation. Exaggeration and uncertainty is what satan uses to blind us from the truth. Ultimatums and intimidation, shame, guilt and humiliation are imposed on us by satan's exploitation of our natural limitations (the flesh) in order to manipulate us into believing that uncertainty should rule our life (he is not named the god of confusion for nothing).

When I was growing up, I didn't fear my father, I ONLY loved him. I didn't want to do anything wrong, but it was not fear that motivated me to avoid wrong, it was that I had a good heart and wanted to do right. Fear is only for those who choose not to have a good heart and have a reprobate mind.
