Point to ponder: Does anyone know if this information on the olive oil posted in 2004 is still accurate for today or have they stopped mixing it with other oils?

I remember when this story came out. A hot topic on one of the forums I used to frequent was ozonating olive oil. One of the participants posted a similar story on the olive oil hoax so all of us were questioning the validity of our oil purchases.

Are most of the consumers in a position to test the oil for its purity? Most likely olive oil is still being mixed with other oils. If the corporation gets caught, what can they expect? A slap on the wrist? a token fine? a reprimand? a small, meaningful payment to a connected official?

I thought some really good advice followed in your article.
"Your olive oil should be from small family farms, families who take pride in their work and their cold-pressed product."
