I have had the machine for a few months. The water is the best tasting water I have ever had. I had to do some modifications to the drip spout, as the tubing and accessory spout were rather mickey mouse. I can not now drink any other water. After drinking this, all other smells and tastes bad. I believe John could make some quality improvements on the hoses and accesories for the price, but overall I am quite satisfied. A friend of mine is a bio-chemist. Just for laughs he took a sample of my tap water and a sample of the distilled water. He ran them through a spectrum anilizer. The tap water had a lot of peaks in the range showing organic materials, as well as peaks in the range indicating chemical contaminates. The treated water is pretty much flat line accross the same ranges.
